Ozzy does World Of Warcraft

Blizzard Entertainment, creators of the WORLD OF WARCRAFT online game,
hired Ozzy Ozbourne to do one of their series of celebrity commercials to
promote the game.

This one in particular stands out above all others for several reasons.

#1. Since 1979, Ozzy has been known as "THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS".

#2. Last year, Dell computer released the special limited edition
WORLD OF WARCRAFT gaming laptops... which you can see here

#3. The game has two opposing factions, ALLIANCE (good) and HORDE (evil).
Since Ozzy is "the price of darkness", the have him sitting in a chair,
playing his HORDE gaming laptop, and he gets transformed into
an UNDEAD WARLOCK in the game.

For a tongue in cheek giggle, his game character is posing in a quirky
pose casting a spell that summons fire and brimstone from the heavens above,
while behind him are his evil mistress - demons.

The between the lines ironic joke is OZZY is / was the Prince of Darkness...
Now... the LICH KING is the "new" prince of darkness.

Later on in the commercial, Ozzy's character gets some a dressing down
as the Lich King... the ultimate evil character in the game, blows Ozzy away
with one spell cast of his sword... claiming the new position.

This ties up in one neat little bundle of marketing genius.

Motorola Aura mobile - Only $1,999.99

Inspired by luxury watches and handcrafted design, Motorola introduces AURA™, a unique handset that breaks convention and re-establishes artistry in the design and manufacturing of mobile devices.

Fine craftsmanship and the industry’s first circular display help AURA deliver a sensory experience that is second to none for those with refined tastes.
Sophisticated design, high performance racing engines and the quality of a photographic print served as the perfect muses to inspire the creation of AURA.

Its form recalls the timeless beauty of luxury watches with the introduction of the world’s first circular display on a mobile device. Technical precision and mechanical excellence are met with a Swiss-made main bearing and more than 200 parts that create a seamless opening for the handset. The quality of a photographic print is celebrated in the brilliant interplay of 16 million colors and 300 dpi resolution on the unique, round liquid-crystal display. Capped with a Grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens – one of the most scratch-resistant materials on earth – AURA is simply elegant.

“AURA is Motorola’s latest endeavor into the high-tier mobile device space and is the result of our continued inspiration to innovate in design, imagination and state-of-the-art handcraftsmanship,” said Jim Wicks, corporate vice president and director of Consumer Experience Design, Mobile Devices, Motorola. “From the moment AURA owners hold their phones, they elevate their own experience in luxury and unmatched quality.”

The hand-sculpted richness of AURA can literally be felt in its stainless steel housing, textures and patterns chemically etched into its surface. The front piece of the phone takes nearly two weeks to create. In that time, the stainless steel is sculpted, electro and hand polished, chemically etched and PVD coated.

The result is a finely finished product that withstands the test of time.
Turn the phone over and reveal a window into its mechanical heart. The Swiss-made main bearing, gears composed of Rockwell 50-55 hardened steel and 130 precision ball bearings work in tandem to drive the assisted-opening blade, an effect more like opening a luxury car door than accessing a mobile device. Its custom-engineered rotating mechanism is composed of more than 200 high-precision individual parts, and the gears are protected from harsh conditions with the same coatings used in high-performance racing engines. Motorola’s proprietary CrystalTalk™ technology takes AURA to the highest level of audio clarity on every call, while Stereo Bluetooth®1 technology enables AURA owners to make and take phone calls hands free by pairing with a compatible headset.

AURA is expected to be available around the globe beginning in Q4 2008.
$1,999.99, with Pre-Orders shipping on December 4th.

The Chrysler GEM PeaPod

The Chrysler PeaPod.

NO GAS.

NO EMISSIONS.

In this rocky global economy, even gas prices are starting to fall... temporarily. Experts say that OPEC will simply start to CUT production to keep gas prices high, so the focus still remains on alternate fuel vehicles.

Eco-friendliness gets a fresh new face with the GEM Peapod. And GEM takes on new meaning as GreenEcoMobility. Building on 10 years of battery-powered innovation, the GEM Peapod brings groundbreaking style and modern functionality to a gas-free, emission-free vehicle.

The Peapod doesn't pollute and doesn't take up any more space than it needs to, making it the perfect way to get around your neighborhood or commute to school or work. Every inch of interior space is thoughtfully designed, too. The center console offers an iPod dock and allows for hands-free operation of your iPhone. The seating is both ergonomic and eco-friendly (made from recycled and recyclable materials).

GEM is already USA's number one zero-emission electric vehicle, with 38,000 of its six models in active use today. The Peapod will be available for purchase in 2009, with more redefining models to come from GEM soon.

Like they say, everything old is new again. Haven't we had this already? Hmmm.

Insane Gas Prices

I absolutely detest paying $4. and Oh My God cents per gallon
of gas as much as you do.($4.17 a gallon of gas at the time of this writing).
However the question that no one seems to answer,
is why are people and government officials slamming
the big oil companies for the high price of gasoline?
Yes, in the last 2 years Exxon alone made $80 Billion profit,
but let's step back a minute and break down the price of a
gallon of gasoline and see what's really going on here.
79% of a gallon of gas is directly dictated by the open world oil market for Crude oil.
15% of a gallon of gas is imposed by state and government taxes.
Only 4% of a gallon of gas goes to the oil companies.
With that 4%, oil companies have to pay for the exploration of oil,
they have to drill for the oil,
They have to extract the oil,
Then bring the oil to refineries,
and finally deliver it to the gas stations.
That's a lot to have to go through to earn 4%.
Government does absolutely NOTHING to EARN their %15.
They simply have their hand in the mix because they are the government.
If big oil is making $80 Billion in profits on 4%, just imagine
how much GOVERNMENT makes with their 15%.
If you owned a business and were only taking %4 on your sales,
would you like a whole country and government breathing fire
down your neck telling you that you are guilty of excessive gouging?
The culprit isn't oil companies, or government for that matter...
It is people's dependance on fossil fuels in the first place.
People worldwide should collectively demand hydrogen, solar,
electric vehicles and technology development Immediately.
That is truly the only solution
